What we do, what is not good enough yet, how to tell us
We want everyone to be able to use HiddenWay. This page says what we do, what we know is not good enough yet, and how to tell us.
What we do
- Every page works with the keyboard; focus is always visible; there is a "Skip to content" link.
- Text and colours are tested for contrast, and the site follows your light or dark setting.
- Animations and the 3D globe switch off when your device asks for reduced motion, and the 3D scene also stays off on data saver.
- Sound effects are off until you turn them on, and are never the only feedback. Videos start only when you press play (the short background loop is muted and decorative).
- Pages are built with headings, landmarks and labels so screen readers can navigate them.
What is not good enough yet
- Some older pages and the study apps (NurseSim, ShadowLingua, Citizen, Tools) were built separately and have not all been tested with screen readers.
- Podcast episodes do not all have a text transcript yet.
- We have measured speed and accessibility with automated tools (Lighthouse); automated tools find only part of the problems, and we have not had an external accessibility audit.
Tell us
If something does not work for you, write to hello@hiddenway.info with the page and what happened. We answer within 2 working days and fix what we can.
